Xanavoo Cave, actually located in Idaho, lies on the corner of a
stream bed that is dry most of the year. The spring runoff runs down these channels
and has resulted in the creation of this cave. It contains much low passage that
changes from year to year.
After digging open this slight pinch off in the cave, I was able to
find a lot more low passage beyond. I also encountered the strangest blockage I had
ever seen. As I crawled forward, my helmet hit something that stopped me. The
funny thing is that I had not seen a blockage in the passage. Upon closer
examination, I discovered a snow mobile windshield that was wedged into the passage.
The passage way continues on through additional pinches that need to be dug out as you go. I have not finished with this cave, yet.....
