Xanavoo Cave

xanavooentrance.jpg (39892 bytes)Xanavoo Cave, actually located in Idaho, lies on the corner of a stream bed that is dry most of the year.  The spring runoff runs down these channels and has resulted in the creation of this cave.  It contains much low passage that changes from year to year.

xanavoodig.jpg (19973 bytes)    After digging open this slight pinch off in the cave, I was able to find a lot more low passage beyond.  I also encountered the strangest blockage I had ever seen.  As I crawled forward, my helmet hit something that stopped me.  The funny thing is that I had not seen a blockage in the passage.  Upon closer examination, I discovered a snow mobile windshield that was wedged into the passage.

The passage way continues on through additional pinches that need to be dug out as you go.  I have not finished with this cave, yet.....
