Great Expectations
This year, there were Rocky Mountain Regional trips into
Great Expectations. These are some of the photos from that trip.

The entrance into Great 'X' is located in a
beautiful alpine setting high in the Bighorn Mountains. Although the
entrance is large....
But immediately opens up to some rather tall narrow down climbs. If not
for the churt on the walls, it would be a rather experience. The churt is
well cemented into the walls, however, and offers excellent footholds.
Nothing more than a hand line is needed, although a lot of people (including
myself) do not even find this necessary.
After going through some walking and crawling
passage, you encounter some nice formations.
Here Shawn Gooch admires a drapery.
We ended up exploring the great hall, which is a very large long room.
Having only a small slave and my built in flash, I didn't get any pictures of
the Great Hall. I did grab a group photo as we ended up meeting with the
other trip in the cave.
Of
course Great Expectations is best known for its spectacular wet passages.
A lot of water, waterfall
s,
fossils and of course, a whole lot of fun. A great trip was had by
everyone who attended.
