Blue Lake is a small lake fed by hot springs located in the salt
flats of Utah. It maintains approximately the same temperature year round, so it can
be dove during any season. This is a popular spot for performing open water
certifications, so expect a crowd on Saturdays. Other days can be a bit quieter.
There are quite a few things built up in this lake to support the certifications of divers. There are two separate platforms located in the lake, as well as a variety of things to find.
The lake is fed by hot springs and you can find these 'hot pots'
scattered throughout the bottom
of the lake. They look like a puddle beneath the
water. They are rather unique to see for the first time.
And just so the fish won't get lost, someone has erected a sign post
to the more popular SCUBA diving locations throughout the world.
