The difficult task of starting out the regional began a day early for me as I set up camp. I can be seen here struggling with all of the things to do to make sure this regional turned out as everyone expected.
The regionals are a good mix of caving and catching up with old friends. There are plenty of both! Here, Dale Green ascends the pit in Spence cave. Notice the huge machine belt someone had hauled all the way back into the cave.
I led several trips into La Caverna de Tres Charros, which was fairly near our base camp. It had an interesting pit that led down to many different waterfalls, and quite a bit of passage.

The regional was a great success. Thanks to all who helped out. Besides, how could you go wrong in an area with the natural beauty that abounded!
