Welcome to the Cavers Digest!

Cavers Digest Information

    The Cavers Digest is an email list providing communication within the global caving community.  Some of the topics discussed include caving equipment, caving techniques, various scientific research related to caves, as well as any other information pertaining to caves in one way or another.

    Due to the fragility of the cave environment, and the damage that can be done to a cave by over-visitation, no cave locations are given nor sent through this list.  If you wish to experience caving in your local area, it is suggested that you consult with your local caving group.  In the USA, your local 'grotto' can be found through the National Speleological Society.

    The email list is sent out in simple digest format, approximately once per week.  It is moderated with the goal of providing a high quality level of information to the global caving community.  Details of this can be found in the FAQ (Frequently asked Questions).
